The Payroll Accountant plays a high-trust role that ensures financial and compliance excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Overseeing employee paychecks, preparing accounting files and records, and resolving payroll issues.
Compliance: You will be responsible for Union payroll reporting and understanding local and governmental regulations related to pay.
Team Support: You will work directly with teams to ensure accurate timekeeping and financial allocation, demonstrating strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: Overseeing employee paychecks, preparing accounting files and records, and resolving payroll issues for 150 - 200 employees.
Compliance: You will be responsible for Union payroll reporting and understanding local and governmental regulations related to pay.
ERP Implementation Lifecycle: Lead the end-to-end transition from legacy systems to a unified platform by overseeing process mapping, data migration and reconciliation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and cross-functional training to ensure a seamless "Go-Live" deployment.
Team Support: You will work directly with teams to ensure accurate timekeeping and financial allocation, demonstrating strong analytical skills.

Education: Associates Degree in Accounting required
Experience: Prior experience as a payroll accountant
Skills: Demonstrated ability to apply Strong Mathematical Skills and Attention to detail with great computational ability.
High-Volume Payrolling: Must have previous experience performing payrolling duties for an organization of at least 100 employees.
Team Collaboration: You will be working with a team of 10 other Accountants and side-by-side 1 other Payroll Accountant who will handle the non-union payroll.
Software: Proficiency in MS Office is required.
General: Employees are expected to be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
