We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Union Reporting Specialist to lead payroll and compliance efforts for our client in Superior, WI. This critical, direct-hire role requires a subject matter expert capable of navigating complex union fringe contributions and job classifications with total accuracy.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Monday - Friday

- Payroll Processing: Execute full-cycle payroll for union and non-union staff, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Union Compliance: Prepare and submit detailed union reports, including weekly/monthly work hours, fringe benefit contributions, and specific job classifications.
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records of employee timecards, job codes, overtime, and deductions.
- Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers and Foremen to verify labor hours and ensure proper project-based allocations.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile payroll and union records regularly; investigate and resolve any pay discrepancies or employee inquiries promptly.
- Regulatory Upkeep: Stay current on changing union rules, wage rates, and federal/state labor reporting requirements.
- Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of data privacy regarding employee compensation and sensitive union information.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Direct Experience: Proven track record in processing and reporting payroll for Union-staffed employees is required.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across the office and the job site.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage strict reporting deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in construction or a project-based industry is highly preferred.
- Versatility: Additional experience in accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or HR support is a major plus.
