Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead and develop the payroll team, overseeing the weekly payroll cycle for 1,600+ employees.
Full-Cycle Processing: Manage weekly and bi-weekly cycles, including new hires, leaves, terminations, and benefits (401K, HSA, garnishments).
Compliance & Reporting: Generate certified payroll reports and ensure all wage/time adjustments are authorized and recorded.
Tax Management: Prepare and file multi-state local, state, and federal tax payments and returns (weekly, monthly, quarterly), including annual W2s.
System Oversight: Maintain the COINS timecard system, including new user setup and individual employee training.
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of data protection and provide professional customer service regarding sensitive payroll inquiries.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent experience required.
Experience: 3+ years of full-cycle multi-state payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
Industry Knowledge: Strong background in construction industry payroll, including prevailing wage, cost-based accounting, and withholding regulations.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with automated timekeeping systems.
Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate professionally across all levels of the organization.
