The Payroll Specialist II is primarily responsible for performing payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely administration of the company's payrolls. This position will also perform clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance of electronic employee pay profiles in the ADP Payroll system. The Payroll Specialist II will act as a mentor to the Payroll Specialist and will provide back-up support to the Lead Payroll Specialist as needed.

What You'll Do:
- System Integration Management: Oversee the seamless flow of data between Workday and ADP, verifying that new hire information and daily integration files are processed without errors.
- Payroll Administration: Execute end-to-end U.S. payroll cycles while maintaining employee profiles, including tax withholdings, direct deposits, and benefit contributions like HSAs.
- Compliance & Tax Oversight: Manage payroll tax account registrations and stay current on multi-state regulations to ensure the company remains in good standing across all jurisdictions.
- Audit & Reporting Support: Compile month-end and quarter-end accruals for the accounting team and gather necessary documentation for both internal and external audits.
- Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with HR to coordinate deductions for leaves of absence and partner with managers to ensure all hourly timecards are verified and approved on time.
- Inquiry Resolution: Act as a primary point of contact in the shared payroll inbox, providing professional and timely solutions to employee pay discrepancies or general questions.
- Team Support & Mentorship: Serve as a mentor to junior staff and cross-train extensively to provide critical backup support for the Lead Payroll Specialist.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor Degree Preferred open to lower based on experience
- 3+ years of payroll experience
