The Processing Supervisor leads process operators and is accountable for maintaining product integrity, process control, and documentation from bulk juice receipt through delivery to the production line.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Juice Processing Operations
Oversee the unloading of bulk juice from tankers into temperature-controlled silos.
Ensure proper handling, identification, and segregation of incoming juice loads.
Manage silo inventory, including temperature control, rotation, and traceability.
Coordinate flow of product from silos to HTST pasteurization and onward to production.
HTST Pasteurization & CCP Ownership
Supervise operation of HTST pasteurization systems, ensuring compliance with validated process parameters.
Ensure proper monitoring, documentation, and control of CCPs associated with thermal processing (e.g., time/temperature).
Respond to CCP deviations, including immediate corrective actions and escalation to Quality.
Ensure all required records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
Food Safety & Quality Compliance
Ensure compliance with Juice HACCP, GMPs, sanitation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Partner closely with the Quality team on verification activities, validations, and audits.
Maintain strict adherence to organic integrity and traceability requirements.
Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
People Leadership & Training
Lead, train, and develop process operators.
Reinforce proper operating procedures, documentation practices, and food safety behaviors.
Ensure operators are trained and competent in CCP monitoring and response procedures.
Promote a strong food safety and safety culture on the processing floor.
Production Support & Coordination
Coordinate with Production to ensure consistent and timely supply of pasteurized juice to the line.
Communicate effectively with Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving during tanker receiving and material flow activities.
Support startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
Equipment & Process Reliability
Monitor processing equipment performance and escalate maintenance needs.
Partner with Maintenance to ensure proper operation and upkeep of processing systems.
Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of processing operations.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in food or beverage processing operations.
Prior experience with HTST pasteurization systems strongly preferred.
Experience with Juice HACCP and CCP monitoring preferred.
Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety principles, GMPs, and process control.
Ability to lead and communicate effectively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup or restart environment.

Shift assignment may vary based on startup phase, production needs, and future facility growth.
