Job Description:
The production worker is responsible for operating more than one type of machine within the production process. Production workers contribute to successful completion of team tasks, goals, and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Performs safety inspection of assigned machinery at the start of each shift.
- Keeps a current logbook on machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers.
- Maintains quality standards for the product being produced.
- Ensures proper raw materials are in use.
- Keeps the machine and the surrounding area clean.
- Assists maintenance personnel with troubleshooting as required.
- Assists with the training of other employees.
- Completes all necessary paperwork properly.
- Operates assigned machine competently and productively.
- Records appropriate information to enable batch-to-batch traceability.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 6 months
- Fundamental knowledge of a computer or willingness to learn, Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, Ability to troubleshoot process problems and determine corrective action, Ability to communicate orally and written, Manufacturing experience preferred
