We are seeking a hands-on and results-driven Production Manager to join our client's team in Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position oversees plant production activities across multiple shifts and departments to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of production operations, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, service, cost, and innovation metrics.
Supervise and allocate labor across production lines to meet daily production and labor usage goals.
Ensure all products meet internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
Promote and enforce a culture of safety by maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Train and develop team members across shifts to ensure a capable and engaged workforce.
Monitor ingredient usage, yield performance, and labor efficiency to support accurate costing and minimize waste.
Coordinate production activities with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize uptime and output.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate and timely reports on production, ingredients, and labor for operational tracking and audit purposes.
Facilitate communication across all levels and shifts to ensure alignment and consistency in plant operations.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Skills:
Experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple shifts or departments
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lead and influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor???s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or a related field
4???6 years of production management experience in a food manufacturing environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents, regulations, and production specifications
Strong written communication skills including the ability to create reports, procedures, and business correspondence
Basic mathematical skills with the ability to apply algebraic and geometric concepts
Proven ability to interpret and execute written, verbal, diagram, or schedule-based instructions
