The Professional Division of Spherion Mid Ohio is partnering with a growing manufacturer in Sandusky, Ohio, as they search for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor!

 As a Production Supervisor, you will report to the Department Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent time management skills and a hands-on leadership style. You will oversee 18–19 employees on second shift, manage production paperwork, coordinate with quality, and keep the line running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with employees, handling attendance and deciding line placements
• Train employees and address any employee issues.
• Coordinate lunch schedules while keeping the line running
• Complete and cross-reference the daily pallet log and skid sheets.
• Record entries on the WIP log and record all scrap, including cartons, containers, film, and dry scrap (make scrap reports on all bins)
• Verify code dates and running product to ensure they match with QA, collaborate closely with the quality department
• Ensure accurate and detailed completion of all daily paperwork.
• Maintain accurate downtime records.
• Utilize an "End of Night Checklist” to ensure all shift responsibilities are completed.

• Proven time management skills and ability to multitask
• Experience managing production operations and supervising employees
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with hands-on responsibilities
