      The Engineering Associate is responsible for supporting the product development team in a variety of tasks throughout the product development lifecycle. We are seeking a high-energy candidate with a can do spirit and passion for success. This person will have responsibility for ordering and managing engineering parts, and assisting in the build and test of next generation prototype vehicles for the largest electric vehicle manufacturer in the world. This individual will be a key contributor in growing our business by accelerating the prototype build process for new products. This position offers the opportunity to see the development process from concept to production. The candidate will be required to apply a combination of hands on skills along with strong communication and coordination skills.Responsibilities:Responsibilities (others may be added):Support Development Validation Builds (DV) by performing the following tasks:Generate Purchase Requisitions for Engineering partsManage pre-production partsReceiving parts into storage.Coordinating part usage for builds with Manufacturing, Engineering and other functional teams (Sales, Marketing, etc).Managing an orderly inventoryEnsure old parts are dispositioned properly (rework, scrap, use, etc) Communicate parts status to team.Serve as liaison between Engineering and other functional groups.Create and maintain spreadsheet/documents for:Early parts tracking Tracking quotesTracking prototype drawings and CAD files sent to suppliersCoordinating activities between Engineering and Manufacturing (e.g. early sub assembly reviews, torque evaluations, etc).Manage Engineering Capital and Expense tracking for program budget reconciliation.Monitor, communicate, and facilitate progress with Program Management and affected team members on CNs throughout the CN life cycle.Provide support for engineering vehicle prototype builds.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Manage ordering and tracking of Parts.
