      -Responsible for highly skilled or routine tasks associated with complex aircraft parts and assemblies, which include the painting of metallic and composite surfaces; corrosion control; surface preparation and the operation of aircraft paint support equipment; identification of technical issues and maintenance of technical publications. Position also works with stencilling and the application of tapes and transfers.-Researches technical data and performs aircraft parts and/or assembly painting functions, applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques in accordance with customer, company and governmental guidelines.Responsibilities:-Cleans, sands, and applies chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting.-Mixes and thins paint or other coatings to specific color and consistency according to standard formulas.-Masks and covers surfaces not to be painted.-Sprays specified amount of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings, such as paint, lacquer, sealer or enamel onto prepared surfaces using spray paint equipment.-Follows routine and/or complex blueprints and specifications to perform the following functions: stripping, sanding, masking insignias, symbols or designs; locating other markings on aircraft parts or assemblies; using stencils, -patterns, measuring instruments, brushes, or spray equipment.-Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.-Sets up and operates portable ventilators, exhaust units as required.-Performs maintenance work such as repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housekeeping.-Operates lifting and moving devices to move materials and equipment as required.-Understands and complies with the safety regulations as set forth in the company guidelines including the use of protective clothing and respirators.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:-Requires standing for extended periods of time.-Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping squatting, reaching above shoulder level and crouching.-Requires occasional kneeling, balancing, and lifting.
