HR generalists work to support employees in many types of businesses. In this job, you will manage the recruitment and hiring of new employees. You will run training and professional development programs for current employees. In addition, you will have responsibility for dealing with payments and benefits for employees. If a supervisor raises concerns about an employee's performance, you may be asked to provide advice about the most appropriate next steps. You'll develop policies for employees, and you will point out areas for growth. You might be asked to email employees to let them know about policies, reminders, concerns and events.
