      The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for, but not limited to a wide range of human resource related functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, records management, state, federal and local compliance, performance management and administering special events or functions.Responsibilities:Assists new hires through the onboarding process to accurately complete all new hire paperwork and ensure all documents are uploaded into the onboarding portal.Notifies IEA shared services when a new hire file is ready to initialize to active status in the HR and Payroll systems.Assists in pulling together all documents required for driver qualification files for DOT drivers.Follows up with new employees at 45 days and 90 days with onboarding survey for feedback about initial placement at jobsites.Ensures orientation training is completed for all new hires within the first 30 days of placement at their project site location.Follows up with new hires with reminders to complete benefit enrollment within their first 30 days of employment.Assists employees with navigating through the employee portal to request PTO, view pay statements, elect benefits and view benefit documentation.Acts as a point of contact for employees and front-line leadership and provides support on employee relations issues, inquiries and concerns.Travels to job site locations to participate in employee relations events, engagement activities, benefit education and training as required.Monitors progressive discipline process to ensure consistency of policies and documentation.Provides sound, accurate, and appropriate advice for consistency in policy application regarding employee relations, while adhering to legislative and Company guidelines.Monitors the performance review process for hourly non-exempt project craft employees.Processes documentation for status change (pay rate, position change, termination, etc.), attendance and performance.Ensures employee documentation is uploaded into employee files.Participates in investigations.Participates in and facilitates Company events.Works with management to document job specifications, skills and education required to perform the essential functions of each active position ensuring job descriptions and FSLA status are documented and up to date.Spearheads employer branding opportunities in recruiting.Assists in the development and maintenance of positive employee relations strategies.Partners with field recruiting to source candidates for open positions and participate in career fairs.Supports department and company-wide special projects and continuous improvement opportunities.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Thorough knowledge of human resource principles and practices including talent acquisition, positive employee relations, onboarding, training, performance management, and employment law.Knowledge of skilled trades labor union contract management a plus.Excellent communication, interviewing, presentation and writing skills.Excellent organizational skills.Working knowledge of HRIS systems, Applicant tracking systems, electronic application, new hire paperwork and benefits enrollment.Superior attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are imperative.Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.MS software knowledge Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.Education:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resource or closely related field prefered.5 plus years experience in a construction and/or Multiple worksite environment.
