      Provides assistance to clients in Hagerstown's patients. Activities include helping community residents and patients to access services such as transportation, primary care, dental care, behavioral health services, substance abuse, labs, x-rays and specialty care services. Develops and maintains ongoing community involvement with appropriate agencies and organizations. Attends community events to showcase the client and the services they provide. Supports and follows through with the vision, mission, goals and objectives of the client.Responsibilities:1. Assist with the development, coordination, and expansion of patient services and programs. 2. Assists with functions related to registration, insurance verification, financial assistance and preparation of medical record information forms.3. Customer Relations/Quality: Demonstrates regard for, dignity toward, and respect for all patients, families, guests, and representatives of other organizations to ensure a professional, courteous, and responsive environment.4. Employee/Employer Relations: Maintains respect for employees and volunteers,and their individual commitment and contributions in support of clients mission to provide consistent quality services.5. Performs job responsibilities with attention to safety concerns relating to staff, equipment, and the facility.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Computer skills and experience required. EMR and Medical terminology preferred. Must have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to speak, write and understand the English language.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Graduation from high school with commercial/business courses or the equivalent required.Must be able to work independently. Direct knowledge of local community resources and programs required. Previous work in a community outreach position preferred.
