We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to work collaboratively with metrology inspectors and the Quality Manager. Responsibilities:
Utilizes Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to accurately measure tolerances of custom manufactured parts.
Maintains familiarity with the company???s manufacturing procedures and practices to ensure quality adherence.
Collaborates with the Quality Manager on maintaining and updating quality system documentation.
May assist in analyzing records for key quality-related metrics, including on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and internal reworks.
May assist in preparing quality reports and implementing corrective actions.
Conducts inspection and measurement of parts using CMMs (Micro-Vu and Keyence experience is a plus).
Performs optical inspection of parts when appropriate.
Measures the thickness of parts as required.
Interfaces effectively with engineers and sales personnel regarding quality matters.
Fills in for operators in other areas as appropriate to support overall operations.
Performs other duties as assigned to support quality objectives.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Proficient in the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), with experience in Micro-Vu and Keyence software highly desirable.
Experienced with various measurement tools, including vernier caliper, micrometer, and drop gauge.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Demonstrable PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to perform calculations from drawings.
Fluent English written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
3-10 years of experience in a related quality assurance or metrology area.
Experience with quality systems such as ISO9001 and AS9100 is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
Knowledge of geometric tolerancing is highly desirable.
