We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to support operations in a fast-paced food and beverage production environment. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance while learning advanced testing and inspection techniques.

Highlights:
- Pay: $18.00-$23.00/hour (based on experience)
- Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour for PM shift

Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks in the lab based on specific work instructions and product standards
- Conduct tests for pH, moisture, salt levels, and viscosity (using Boswick meter)
- Analyze product color using NCI charts and colorimeter tools
- Evaluate product appearance, flavor, aroma, body, texture, and mouthfeel
- Conduct seamer checks (using CCTV/x-ray) for can height, body hook, overlap, cover hook, and tightness
- Measure drain weights, headspace, and vacuum/pressure per process requirement
- Monitor x-ray and tap tone equipment during production
- Inspect and verify labeling, case codes, sticker placement, and pallet patterns
- Complete ATC testing before each production run
- Communicate promptly with production staff if issues arise related to GMPs, policies, or procedures
- Verify production paperwork and charts for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor product during production for weight consistency and packaging integrity
- Place non-conforming product on hold, generate reports, and update QC status in inventory systems
- Ensure cleanliness of equipment and surrounding production areas through pre-op inspections
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (experience may be considered in lieu of diploma)
- Strong computer and math skills required
- Must be able to complete approximately 3 weeks of hands-on training, which may include all shifts
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a variety of challenges
- Fluency in written and verbal English is essential
