Responsibilities:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment (compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, etc.).
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems and supporting equipment.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, PSM (Process Safety Management), and RMP (Risk Management Plan) regulations.
Operate refrigeration systems to maintain proper temperature controls for production and storage.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Respond promptly to equipment alarms and emergencies.
Support audits, inspections, and testing related to refrigeration safety and environmental compliance.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Working hours: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Skills:
RETA CARO/CIRO certification at time of hire.
Boiler operation experience.
Familiarity with food manufacturing and FDA-regulated environments.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience.
RETA CARO or CIRO certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
Knowledge of PSM/RMP programs and regulatory compliance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to work in cold and wet environments, and to be on-call as needed.
