Under direct supervision, perform a variety of standard, generally repetitive, manufacturing activities involved in the fabrication, assembly or machine operations required to manufacture composite parts or assemblies.Responsibilities:- Follow general instructions, drawings, specifications, standard practice and recognized methods to perform operations needed to produce prototype and/or production composite parts, components and assemblies.- Work with engineering personnel to develop techniques, tooling and/or methods and procedures to produce new, complex and/or modified composite parts, components, and assemblies.- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials using visual, scales and precision instruments.- Assemble parts, fittings, or subassemblies on aircraft by using layout tools, power tools or fasteners, such as bolts, screws, rivets or clamps- Assemble prototypes or integrated-technology demonstrators of new or emerging environmental technologies for aircraft by following product specifications- Attach brackets, hinges, or clips to secure or support components or subassemblies by using bolts, screws, rivets, chemical bonds, or welding- Attach swage fittings onto cables by using swaging machines- Splice seals by using tube to reconnect with bonding material- Ensure proper fit and clearance by cutting, trimming, filing, bending, or smoothing parts- Join structural assemblies, such as wings, tails, or fuselage by following work order specificationsWorking hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:- Requires a thorough working knowledge of aircraft airframe metal and composites manufacturing processes and tooling.- Requires the ability to rapidly read and interpret complex blueprints, mylars, operation sheets and specifications.- Requires an understanding of ISO 9001 Quality System principles and requirements.- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills and a working knowledge of personal computer operation, word processing software, spreadsheet software and MRP systems.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- Must show stable work history (minimum one year at current or previous employer)- Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift- High school diploma or GED required.- An equivalent combination of education and work experience- Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing is required Apply today and find a job YOU will love!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
