      Spherion is seeking a CNC Machinist for a well-established company in Broussard, LA!The CNC Machinist is responsible for manufacturing quality products through the operation of CNC Machinery.This position monitors the machine operation to ensure optimal productivity and maintains the machine in proper working order. This position will comply with the organization's policies, internal controls and Code of Conduct. The CNC Machinist reports directly to the Supervisor, Product Delivery.Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm (10 hours/day 4 days a week).Pay Rate: $20.00/hour.Responsibilities:Setup CNC equipment without supervision, change cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds as needed.Resolve problems by making decisions to correct constraints.Equipment set up for CNC Machines.Identify root causes and corrective action for quality problems.Utilize measuring equipment used in the industry such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge and other measuring equipment needed to complete work.Use prescribed procedures to inspect part(s) and product(s) produced to assure compliance to specifications that will eliminate defects, scrap, rework, etc. Ensure part(s) meet all Quality requirements.Maintain equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition, report defective equipment, materials and/or faulty operations to supervisor.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.Perform other duties as assigned.Accountabilities:Support a high-performance cultureAccomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for new and incoming orders; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Hands on production or part movement, as well as time spent training an individual or group on current processes within the group.Ensure that work is being produced within the time allotted for the process, with no non-conformances as well as meeting schedule requirementsEnsure the general maintenance of all equipment within the division is completed and documented dailyProduct knowledge and understanding of how products are usedDesire to foster a safety conscious environment and ability to read and adhere to all safety policiesWorking hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:Perform within a dynamic team environmentAdaptability and flexibility with changing priorities and deadlinesMulti-task, prioritize, and effective time managementProduct knowledge and understating of how products are usedAbility to effectively communicate with a large variety of stakeholders both verbally and writtenEducation:TradeExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:1-3 years' experience with programming CNC equipment; specifically, Mazatrol and G CodeVocational training or equivalent preferredAbility to read and interpret blueprintsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Work comfortably in a team environmentDetail orientedGood verbal and written communication skillsMust be able to stand for long periods of time Apply online: www.spherion.com/applyMust provide a resume!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
