The Safety Supervisor is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs within a food manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution environment. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and company-specific safety regulations while promoting a culture of health and safety awareness throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:
Lead the design and execution of safety training programs, including topics such as equipment operation, chemical handling, and emergency protocols.
Oversee compliance with OSHA and FDA requirements as well as internal safety standards and food safety protocols.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment, storage areas, and production lines to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate all workplace incidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventative solutions.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all safety-related incidents and training activities.
Partner with internal teams to integrate safety considerations into all areas of facility operations, including hygiene, PPE usage, and environmental controls.
Maintain and update emergency preparedness plans and coordinate drills and safety equipment maintenance.
Review and interpret regulatory updates to ensure the facility remains in compliance with evolving safety requirements.
Monitor and manage the storage and handling of chemicals and cleaning products, including appropriate labeling and safety measures.
Collaborate with quality and sanitation teams to ensure standards are met for cleanliness and allergen controls.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Safety certifications such as OSHA 30-hour or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.

Qualifications:
At least three years of safety management experience in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations, FDA guidelines, and food industry safety standards.
Proven ability to develop and deliver employee training and lead cross-functional safety initiatives.
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across departments
Practical, hands-on approach to safety enforcement and problem-solving
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
Proactive and organized, with a focus on continuous improvement
Collaborative mindset with an ability to build and maintain team trust
High level of accountability and commitment to operational excellence
Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a dynamic production setting
