Spherion Staffing is urgently seeking two experienced Scale House Technicians for a premier agricultural processing partner in Los Molinos, CA. This is a fast-paced, seasonal role for the upcoming harvest, with the potential for permanent placement for top performers. You will be the first point of contact for growers and transportation partners, responsible for accurately weighing inbound deliveries and processing vital shipment data. POTENTIAL for Fulltime, permanent work.
Responsibilities:
Operate industrial truck scales to accurately weigh inbound shipments and outbound commercial freight.
Perform high-volume, rapid data entry to record gross/tare weights, crop varieties, and driver details.
Generate, verify, and distribute scale weight tickets and corresponding shipping/receiving documentation.
Coordinate with dispatch and receiving teams to manage yard traffic and minimize truck wait times.
Maintain a hyper-organized workstation and file system to ensure seamless shift handoffs and accurate daily reporting.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Prior experience working in an agricultural, harvest, or food production environment.
Familiarity with proprietary scale management, logistics, or inventory software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with truck drivers and facility staff.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2+ years of verified, hands-on scale house experience.(Or related field)
Strong computer knowledge and exceptional data entry skills.
Great with numbers, mathematical accuracy, and reconciling daily logs.
"Hyper-organized" with the ability to maintain composure in a high-volume, repetitive environment.
Must be available to work 12-hour shifts (varying schedules) and must be available to work weekends (6-7 days a week during peak harvest).
