This vital role manages the gateway of all supplies into the hospital, making it crucial to daily patient care. Due to the hospital's mandatory, rigorous credentialing process, this is not a quick-hire position. We recruit for all three shifts: Days, Mid, and Nights.
The pay range is competitive and is determined based on shift differential, specific location, and position.
Responsibilities:
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you are the first point of contact for all incoming and outgoing materials.
Your core duties ensure accuracy and timely distribution:
Obtaining receipt and delivery of all incoming materials, equipment, and supplies.
Meticulously inspecting the bill of lading and the visual appearance of all shipments for accuracy and damage.
Processing and distributing supplies and equipment to various hospital departments.
Maintaining supply and equipment par levels, restocking, and rotating inventory.
Assisting in the inventory process, performing cycle counts, and fulfilling special requests.
Decontaminating reusable medical supplies and performing general housekeeping in assigned areas.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Extreme Attention to Detail: Absolutely critical for verifying shipping documents (Bill of Lading, packing slips) against physical inventory to prevent costly errors and shortages in clinical areas.
Accountability and Ownership: Taking full responsibility for the accurate tracking, inspection, and handling of thousands of dollars worth of supplies daily.
Discretion and Confidentiality: Handling sensitive supply requests and working near clinical areas requires maintaining strict privacy regarding hospital logistics and patient support.
Process Orientation: The ability to strictly follow standardized procedures for receiving, stocking, and decontamination is essential for inventory integrity and infection control.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this pipeline, all candidates must meet the following requirements and submit the necessary documentation:
Communication: Must be able to read and write English.
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Must provide a copy of the certificate).
Health and Screening:
Completed Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test.
Vaccination Records for Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Seasonal Flu (Must provide official documentation).
Professional Documentation:
Resume with a complete work history. All employment gaps and reasons for leaving must be clearly explained.
Two (2) Professional References, preferably current or past supervisors who can verify employment.
