Spherion Gainesville, FL is seeking a Staff Account for an Alachua FL based company. The Staff Accountant is responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, general ledger journal entries, account reconciliations, and the maintenance of financial records. This position also assists with Salesforce case management and customer support related to billing, payments, account corrections, and customer inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, customer focused and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Skills:
- Effective communication and writing skills. This role can be customer facing to both internal and external customers
- Salesforce experience a plus

Qualifications:
- Accounting degree plus 3-5 years experience
- Involved in day-to-day work like journal entries, GL reconciliations, month-end close
- Payroll experience (our definition is 50 or more employees with multi-state preferred)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
