Staff Accountant will enter data into the ERP system, and ensure compliance with accounting standards such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The main focus of this role will be routine accounting transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and preparing supporting information used for financial reporting and operational questions.
Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices and support payment runs
Prepare customer invoices, maintain account aging, and assist with collections
Apply customer payments and process check deposits
Prepare routine journal entries
Support payroll posting and sales tax filings
Maintain organized accounting documentation
Assist with foreign vendor invoices and international payments
Pull accounting data and supporting information to help answer questions
Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve routine issues
Work across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks
Understanding exemptions on manufacturing equipment and industrial processing
2+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor???s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
3+ years of accounting experience
Experience with ERP Accounting software (Epicor, Oracle or SAP preferred)
Solid understanding of GAAP and a foundational grasp of Cost Accounting principles.
