staff accountant.

The individual in this role will be responsible for accounts payable, processing payments, verifying invoices, performing account reconciliations as needed and performing the general accounting duties listed below.

Responsibilities:
-Reviews and pays all trade vendor invoices in a timely manner.
-Responsible for the timely filing of all vendor invoices/check remittances.
-Reconciles the Comdata-Mastercard account to the General ledger.
-Prepare and Post Journal Entries in the accounting system as needed by the Controller.
-Prepare various general ledger account reconciliation schedules as assigned by the Controller.
-Assist the Controller with the annual financial and bank audits.
-Other duties as assigned by the Controller as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
-Minimum of 3 years in an Accounting or similar office position.
-Must have excellent analytical skills.
-Knowledge of the Accounts Payable function, and some knowledge of Tax reporting and compliance.

Education:
Associate

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
-Associate degree in accounting or business, or equivalent work experience in a similar role in the transportation industry.
-Skilled in the use of Excel and Word, and related programs.
