Spherion Staffing has a temporary need for a certified Medical Coder. The Medical Coder reviews professional and/or institutional claims and corresponding medical records to verify coding and billing are appropriate based on current guidelines and policy.
The Medical Coder also references appropriate sources used to support findings and communicates findings effectively in both written and verbal form.

Assignment Length:12 months
Pay $25/hour
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30 pm
In-office (Fargo), hybrid or remote
Responsibilities:
-Receipt and timely response to appeal inquiries
-Receipt and timely response to coding inquiries.
-Complete reviews on provider submitted claims to validate appropriate medical code assignment
-Complete medical record reviews to validate medical code appropriateness based on national correct coding guidelines
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications:
Education: Associate???s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
Experience: Coding experience in a hospital, clinic, or a fully integrated health system, or related experience
Required Certification: CPC, CPC-H, RHIT or CCSP
