Responsibilities:
- Design & Fabrication: Layout, construct, and assemble tools, gauges, fixtures, jigs, molds, and dies based on CAD drawings, sketches, models, and engineering specifications.
- Precision Machining: Perform complex tool room operations to achieve exacting tolerances and dimensions; assign specific machining parts to Machinists as needed.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with team members to discuss project goals, develop CAD drawings, implement new tools into production, and recommend design revisions or material substitutions.
- Problem Solving: Resolve unique challenges related to unusual materials, work-holding requirements, machine settings, and fabrication methods.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous training, 5S methodology, benchmarking studies, and ongoing lean manufacturing activities.
- Safety & Workplace Culture: Maintain a clean, orderly work area, follow all safety regulations, and foster cooperative working relationships across all levels of staff.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
- Trade school or completion of an apprenticeship program is highly preferred.
- Communication: Ability to listen and communicate clearly, fluently, and diplomatically (written and verbal English).
- Work Management: Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently under time constraints with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability: Flexible, resilient, and calm under pressure, maintaining a professional image and working effectively with diverse working styles.
- Attendance: Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
- Licensing: Ability to become a licensed forklift operator.
- Physical/Mental: Must meet the physical and mental demands required to perform essential workshop functions.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 5+ years of factory-related tool and fixture making experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Machining & Programming: Proven experience with Vertical CNC Mill and Lathe programming, setup, and operation.
- Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Windows applications (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook), ERP programs, and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
- Tools & Inspection: Experience using standard CNC machining measurement/hand tools, as well as inspection experience using optical comparators and CMM.
- Materials & Design: Deep familiarity with appropriate metals/materials used in fixture construction; proven ability to design and build machine and weld fixtures for production.
