Role Summary
As an Unlicensed Electrician, you will perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial manufacturing equipment while assisting with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems. You will work closely with licensed electricians to minimize equipment downtime and ensure facility machinery operates at peak efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation: Install new machinery, fixtures, and corresponding electrical, plumbing, and utility hook-ups to ensure full operational readiness.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues quickly to perform effective repairs and minimize production downtime.
- Multi-Craft Maintenance: Support preventative and corrective maintenance across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing components.
- Mentorship & Mentoring: Work directly alongside a Licensed Electrician to expand your trade knowledge and build credit toward your electrician licensing goals.
- Parts & Inventory: Determine necessary repair parts, supplies, and hardware required for upcoming work orders.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
- PLC & Automation Basics: Exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), HMIs, or automated control systems.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Completion of a Vo-Tech electrical program (Mechatronics, Robotics, Construction Electrician) OR a minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical experience.
- Tools: Must possess and maintain your own basic hand tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and understanding mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshooting abilities, decision-making skills, and attention to detail.
