- Collaborate with other Mortgage Loan Managers to develop consistent training and development for all assigned staff.- Oversee assigned staff to assure strategic initiatives established by Senior Management are accomplished.- Develop, plan and implement lending goals, programs and procedures to improve productivity.- Determine proactive solutions to lending issues and problems.- Pursue business networking opportunities within community.- Direct assigned staff to organize educational presentations and to work with marketing personnel on loan promotions.- Work proactively and positively with other loan department personnel to ensure a team effort and prompt member service.- Work with collections with regards to delinquent loans as deemed necessary by SVP of Lending.- Work effectively with all other Credit Union personnel to ensure that loan processes function appropriately in relation to other departments.- Follow all established lending procedures as explained and trained by SVP of Lending; learn, recommend and implement loan procedures as necessary and applicable.- Perform all tasks and projects required by SVP of Lending and departmental needs.- Maintain ongoing communication with SVP of Lending and Senior Management team, informing them of potential problems, new developments or changes in the lending environment.- Evaluate loan assignments for potential conflicts of interest and reassign as needed.- Handle employee loan requests, including appropriate loan and credit education, confidentiality and to completion.- Approve real estate loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to SVP of Lending for approval; submit real estate loan applications which exceed specified limits to Board of Directors as required.- Address all Member loan issues as soon as possible; handle Member complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.- Periodically review real estate loan agreements to ensure that they comply with the Credit Union policy and Federal regulations.- Stay abreast of all current and upcoming compliance and regulatory laws.- Attend loan office meetings as required.- Effectively manage time, resources, and personnel, with working knowledge of principles and practices of supervision, shift scheduling, training and performance evaluation.- Review and approve staff timecards within prescribed timeline.- Ensure that all staff complies with the 5-consecutive-days out-of-office policy.

- Associate or bachelor's degree in finance or banking preferred.
- Valid Montana driver's license and good driving record, plus the ability to maintain insurability under the Credit Union's vehicle insurance policy.- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone, with members, co- workers, external professionals, and senior management.- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.- Possess and display a high level of interpersonal skills, including the development and maintenance of professional relationships.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.- Advanced understanding of clerical procedures, office equipment and computer systems, including recordkeeping and filing.- Ability and willingness to go above and beyond expected work schedule to accomplish what is needed within assigned department(s) and the organization as a whole.- 10-15 years of professional experience in mortgage lending required.- High school diploma or equivalent required.
