The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in the smooth and efficient flow of freight within the transportation network. This position is essential for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate inventory management, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
Assist with all aspects of shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sales orders.
Accurately read and process customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify, gather, distribute, and/or ship required items.
Ensure the warehouse remains accessible and safe for all employees and customer traffic. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, completing all work in a safe manner.
Participate in inventory counts and assemble products as needed.
Take check calls from drivers to confirm on-time load delivery and validate all load data for accounting purposes. Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, verifying that loads arrive on time and in good condition.
Perform tasks requiring the loading and unloading of trucks and other physical demands.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Skills:
Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 35 pounds.
Ability to stand up for at least 8 hours
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, as dictated by varying freight volumes.
Previous dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
Experience using handheld scanners.
