This position is a direct placement and is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus and offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with opportunities for overtime. Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor advanced water and wastewater treatment systems, utilizing both manual controls and SCADA automation to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and sampling at remote water and wastewater pump stations.
Perform precise water quality sampling and analysis (e.g., pH, chlorine residual, turbidity) to guarantee strict compliance with all local, state (FDEP), and federal regulations.
Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment, including pumps, motors, blowers, and control systems, to maximize reliability.
Manage maintenance tasks and maintain detailed operational logs using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment throughout the treatment facilities and grounds.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours alarms or emergencies.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Experience with SCADA systems and CMMS software.
Additional Florida certifications, such as a Collections System Operator Certification or a Distribution System Operator License, are a strong plus.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must possess a valid Florida Class "C" Drinking Water Operator License.
Must possess a valid Florida Class "C" Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License.
Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Ability to make sound decisions in process control and respond effectively to changing conditions.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
