Job Description:
As a Welder you would be responsible for welding and assembling various metal parts and structures.
Responsibilities:
- Welding and assembling metal pieces
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Running saws, grinders, and welding machines
- Quality checking finished products
- Wearing proper PPE
- Assisting in other areas as needed
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical Schooling in Welding (Preferred)
Experience: 24 months
- 2+ years if experience in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Experience welding thin gauge metals
Physical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and kneel
Skills:
- Understanding of MIG and TIG welding
- Stick Welding (preferred)
- Welding thin gauge metals
- Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Understanding of metal types and thicknesses
- Understanding of math (fractions, decimals, and measurements)
