As we reach the midway point of 2023, we want to take some time to reflect on Spherion’s year so far. From expanding our reach with three new offices to launching our revamped franchisee training program, Spherion has continued striving toward our mission of driving careers, growing businesses and bettering our communities throughout the first six months of 2023. Below is an overview of the growth Spherion has driven so far this year:

National Sales Push: Empowering Franchisees for Success

At Spherion, being able to match more job seekers with meaningful employment begins with partnering with more businesses offering fulfilling jobs. To support our franchisees in bringing in new job orders, we have equipped them with powerful tools that showcase how Spherion’s local expertise helps businesses thrive. Our employer spotlights, email campaigns and national Google Ads campaign have each been instrumental in attracting top employers in previously underserved industries. Our business development teams have been working hard to check in on existing partnerships and ensure our clients have the resources they need to staff their companies as needed. Materials such as our semi-annual salary guides help Spherion clients stay competitive in the current tight labor market.

Spherion Grand Opening

Welcoming New Franchisees and Offices to the Spherion Family

We are thrilled to expand our Spherion family with the addition of three new franchisees and offices. In Austin, Texas, franchisee John Cho is an accomplished entrepreneur and IT professional, and is eager to bring his expertise into the Spherion brand through his Professional IT branch specialized for staffing within the information technology field. 

In Jeffersonville, Indiana, franchisees Tom Pentenburg and Brock Wicker have opened a second office together to further grow with the Spherion brand and meet staffing needs within the southeast Indiana market. This location serves light industrial and customer service companies.

Lastly, we are excited to extend our reach north to the Minneapolis region with the new Twin Cities North office under Mai Vang's leadership. A determined entrepreneur, Mai is leaning on her established skills in recruiting to spearhead her efforts to meet local labor demands.

We're not finished growing, however. Spherion is on track to open four more offices in Arizona, Arkansas, California, and Illinois later this year!

Revamped New Franchisee Launch Training Program

We understand the importance of setting our new franchisees up for success from day one. That's why we expanded our New Franchisee Launch training program to provide comprehensive support and guidance. Through more than 380 hands-on training hours, the NFL program equips franchisees with the necessary tools, knowledge and strategies to put them on the path to growing their staffing business in the market that they know best. 

In addition, we have augmented our knowledgeable franchise support team through the addition of our newest SVP, Mike Boyle. Mike will work directly with newer franchises to support them as they grow with us. 

Staying Ahead of Economic Trends and Communication

Knowing industry trends and staying informed about economic projections helps us proactively anticipate and respond  to changes in the economic landscape that affect our franchisees’ investments in our brand. Our dedicated team continuously analyzes market conditions, enabling us to provide valuable insights on the best time to start a Spherion franchise

Additionally, we're committed to staying on top of communication trends to ensure we’re reaching all possible job candidates. That's why we've scaled up our TikTok content, engaging with more than 65,000 followers who are learning valuable job search tips through this fun and interactive channel.

Investing in Education and Community Impact

We take investing in our communities seriously. That’s why our franchise network is proud to assist the next generation of leaders as they continue their education through our annual Sandy Mazur Excellence in Leadership Scholarship! This year, we awarded $3,000 scholarships to three outstanding high school graduates for their academic achievements and community involvement during their high school career. We congratulate each of the winners and look forward to following their future success.

At Spherion, we recognize that providing excellent customer service is paramount. We take pride in maintaining a 4.8/5 Google rating, showcasing the satisfaction of our valued clients. Furthermore, 81 of our offices earned Reputation.com’s prestigious 800 Award at the beginning of 2023. This award is a testament to our commitment not just to reputation management, but to engaging with customers in an authentic way and delivering exceptional and continually-improving service.
