Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe and mill) to produce precision parts from existing programs and fixtures
- Perform part inspections and adjustments to maintain high-quality standards within tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and technical documents
- Troubleshoot production issues involving materials, tools, setups, and specifications
- Maintain accurate records and complete work orders and documentation as required
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Communicate with team members and engineering staff regarding production processes and improvements
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of CNC setup and operation experience (lathe and mill)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and edit G-code; strong blueprint reading and math skills (geometry, algebra, trigonometry)
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and advanced inspection techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting
