Spherion is seeking a full-time, temporary Accounting Assistant - AP to performs routine accounting activities such as accounts payable or receivable functions. Hourly Pay Rate: $17
Shift: Mon-Friday; 8a-5p
Responsibilities:
Process AP invoices by matching with PO's / delivery tickets, completing data entry into Microsoft D365, copying, and filing in invoice filing system.
When appropriate, accrue applicable sales tax on AP invoices.
Prepare AP accrual at month end and submit to supervisor.
Communicate with vendors as needed and escalate invoice payment issues to supervisor when appropriate.
Coordinate business work flow via operations supervisor, dispatcher, salesmen, manager, and other personnel.
Research any discrepancies that may arise with vendors.
File all documents away in the appropriate places.
Complete various projects as assigned by supervisor and other personnel.

Skills:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred, or a minimum of two to five years related experience and/or training, preferably in the oil and gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current practices and technology used in the oil and gas industry.
