We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounts Payable (AP), proficiency with QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of End of Month close procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions and maintaining our vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of invoices, ensuring they are coded correctly and approved in a timely manner.
Manage the full Accounts Payable cycle, including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Maintain accurate vendor records and respond to all vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
Perform bank reconciliations and assist with general ledger postings.
Collaborate with the accounting team to prepare for and execute End of Month close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of year-end audits.
Utilize QuickBooks, and Excel for all daily AP tasks and financial data entry.
Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
Support other accounting functions as needed.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Bachelors degree in finance or accounting preferred.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Experience with End of Month close processes and general ledger reconciliation.
Experience within the hospitality field considered a plus.

Qualifications:
Proficiency in Excel, and QuickBooks is required.
Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role with a strong focus on Accounts Payable.
Associate's degree in accounting/finance is required - relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
