The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the overall financial health and operational control of the company. You'll manage all accounting functions-from daily transactions to complex compliance-while providing critical financial insights to leadership. More than just numbers, you'll also oversee the entire Human Resources function, including recruitment, employee relations, and compensation & benefits. This position is perfect for an insightful professional who wants to elevate a company's financial and HR processes simultaneously.
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
Office core hours are 8am to 3pm. (Can start at 7 am)

401(k) no matching. If you contribute to your 401(k) and we have a profit sharing, then the company puts a portion of that into your 401(k).
Responsibilities:
- Management & Transactions: Documenting accounting policies, managing department operations, overseeing all accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring timely payroll processing and bank reconciliations.
- Reporting & Analysis: Issuing accurate, timely financial statements, coordinating annual report preparation, managing the budget/forecasting process, and providing financial analysis for key decisions like capital investments and pricing.
- Compliance: Coordinating with external auditors, monitoring debt compliance, and ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Human Resources: Taking full responsibility for all HR activities, including staffing, insurance, Workers' Comp, FMLA management, and handling all employee compensation and benefits programs.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
- Experience managing outsourced accounting functions.
- Prior background in implementing or migrating new accounting software.
- A history of successfully leading or restructuring an HR department.

4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role (CFO, Controller, or VP of Finance).
- Expert knowledge of accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and manage corporate annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Excellent understanding of federal, state, and local compliance and tax filing requirements.
- Experience or the ability to oversee and manage the full scope of Human Resources functions.
- Experience in the construction industry or manufacturing.
