This role is responsible for providing essential clerical and operational support for the Landfill Department. You will serve as a key point of contact, handling general office management, financial record-keeping, customer order coordination, and on-site support. Responsibilities:
Provide clerical support, including printing tickets, monitoring and tracking pricing, and visually and analytically inspecting loads.
Maintain inventory of plant and office materials, ordering new supplies as appropriate.
Provide customer service by answering phones and responding to requests for information on tickets and/or invoices.
Collect on past-due accounts by contacting customers and providing copies of tickets and invoices.
Maintain facility compliance files and reports, such as cash transaction reports and daily logbooks.
Conduct facility banking and deposit reports.
Weigh customer trucks, provide timely and accurate tickets, and assist in coordinating truck dispatch orders for maximum efficiency.
Ensure tickets are verified for accuracy and that customer trucks leave the yard properly loaded.
Work closely with supervisors and other facility personnel to coordinate site functions.
Direct customers to unloading/dumping areas, monitor trucks and drivers, and ensure compliance with facility rules and company policies.
Perform general housekeeping and litter control.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related clerical experience is preferred.
Experience or education in waste identification and solid waste regulations is a plus.
Must demonstrate ability to maintain documents and provide detailed records keeping
