Spherion is searching for an Assistant General Manager for our client in Greenfield, IN! The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager of the Service Center in the leadership and implementation of the plant's processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role is critical to ensuring the plant delivers to defined and set targets. The AGM will execute current and future policies, laws, and procedures set forth by this company. This position will monitor, audit, and continually train/assist in training all personnel within the facility, ensuring customers receive the highest quality product while ensuring all this company's expectations are met.

Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver the plant's operational budget and performance metrics as a key member of the plant leadership team.
Monitor/Audit all functions performed within the facility, including Safety, HR/Payroll, Quality/AIB processes, Production, Financial, and other general day-to-day functions.
Deliver more efficient and safer methods of meeting the needs and expectations of customers and this company's systems.
Work closely with the General Manager and Office Manager to monitor daily productivity, shipping, receiving, and data entry, performed in association with these functions.
Manage the Supervisors to ensure daily staffing totals are monitored while achieving expected productivity vs. costs within the facility.
Provide coverage during the absence of the General Manager and ensure quality, safety, and financial goals are met, while maintaining all policies and procedures set forth by this company.
Achieve operational KPIs related to quality, safety, and cost.
Resolve internal and external customer issues as guided by this company's policies and processes.
Support and assist in future projects as assigned by senior management.
Engage in day-to-day decisions regarding the production and logistics calendar.
Handle staffing decisions, including the ability to foresee production challenges and recommend appropriate staff and scheduling (2-to-4-year time frame).
Contribute to a favorable employee engagement index as determined by annual surveys.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Documented OSHA safety training and/or accreditation is strongly preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Associate
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
2-to-4-year degree in management or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of previous management experience in a high-volume production/warehousing facility is required.
Experience managing 100+ personnel in a high-volume 24-hour production/warehouse environment is required.
Safety program management experience is required.
Background in Lean or 6 Sigma skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
