have at least 4 years of experience controlling the operations of utility equipment, possess strong troubleshooting skills using blueprints and manuals, and be proficient in performing routine maintenance. This position requires regular attendance, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and adherence to all safety protocols such as LOTO and PPE. The role operates on a fixed 2-2-3 schedule, with shifts available for nights (5:45 PM - 6:00 AM) or days (5:45 AM - 6:00 PM), and requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and in varying temperatures.
Responsibilities:
Perform all work safely and according to company standards
Work well with others within the team and throughout the organization
Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
Operate and maintain industrial utility equipment such as steam boilers, air compressors, nitrogen delivery systems, cooling towers, HVAC roof top units, chillers, and other associated equipment
Operate the equipment within defined process parameters and respond to deviation immediately
Conduct cooling water and boiler water testing
Conduct and document operator rounds; keep record of operational data in log books
Responsible for routine maintenance of pumps, valves, lines, and equipment
Perform job assignments alone or as a member of a work crew, depending on the nature of the assignment
Read blueprints, diagrams, and/or machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation
Utilize power & hand tools to properly and safely support work activities
Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment
Follow safe working procedures such as LOTO, Hot Work Permits, Fall protection, and PPE
Perform other duties as assigned
Working hours: 5:45 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Relevant experience (beyond the required 4 years)
Proven expertise in preventative and planned maintenance
Extensive experience with a diverse range of industrial utility equipment types (as listed in responsibilities)
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities using technical documentation
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Proactive commitment to and understanding of industrial safety procedures (LOTO, Hot Work, Fall protection, PPE)
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
