You'll develop and execute a sales plan tailored to the greater Rockford market, engage with key decision-makers, and collaborate with internal team members to deliver tailored staffing and workforce solutions across a range of industries.

Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a strategic business development plan to grow our presence in the greater Rockford area
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, LinkedIn outreach, and local market visits
- Manage a pipeline of prospective clients, maintaining a focused outreach plan to meet and exceed goals
- Promote Spherions full range of staffing services across key verticals like light industrial, administrative, healthcare, and professional services
- Own the full B2B sales cycle, from lead generation to contract signing
- Maintain a structured schedule of daily and weekly sales activities to support consistency and momentum
- Accurately document all sales activities, opportunities, and client conversations in our CRM system
- Stay informed on local workforce trends and economic shifts in Northern Illinois
- Build strong relationships with business owners, executives, HR leaders, and hiring managers across industries
- Collaborate closely with recruiters to ensure smooth handoff and exceptional service delivery
- Offer consultative solutions tailored to each client?s hiring challenges and business goals
- Uphold organizational values in all communication and interactions
Skills:
- Track record of success in relationship-based B2B sales, preferably in staffing & recruiting, HR solutions, or outsourced services
- Comfort engaging with business owners, HR leaders, and department heads across diverse industries
- Proficiency in CRM systems and outreach platforms (e.g., Zoom, LinkedIn, Hubspot)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Motivated self-starter with a competitive and enthusiastic attitude
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of business development or staffing industry experience
- Proven success in B2B sales, preferably in staffing or HR solutions
- Ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage a full sales cycle
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Compensation:
- The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be eligible for a competitive commission structure, with earning potential tied to your performance. Details will be shared during the interview process.
