As a Cost Accountant, you will help ensure the financial accuracy of production by analyzing costs, validating product structures, and supporting decision-making across departments. Your work will include reviewing materials, labor, and overhead costs, assisting with product development estimates, and maintaining a reliable cost system. Pay: $60k-$78k BOE
Responsibilities:
Maintain and validate the standard cost system, including cost rolls, product structures, and variance analysis.
Work with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy in products and projects.
Support product development by analyzing design and material changes and providing cost estimates.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Participate in inventory preparation and analysis.
Provide insight into labor, raw material, and overhead costs to support pricing and decision-making.
Assist with ERP transition (currently on AS400, moving to IFS ERP by year-end).
Recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and cost procedures.
Cross-train with the broader accounting team to expand your knowledge and skills.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or equivalent is a plus
CMA certification is a plus.
Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience with ERP systems (any major ERP; IFS experience is a plus).
Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate with multiple departments.
