You will be responsible for managing official court records, assisting the public at the filing counter, and providing essential support to judges during live court proceedings.

Responsibilities:
Case Management: Open, process, and maintain physical and electronic case files for civil, criminal, or traffic matters.
Courtroom Support: Attend court sessions to swear in witnesses, manage exhibits, and record minutes or official summaries of proceedings.
Public Assistance: Act as a primary point of contact for the public, legal professionals, and law enforcement; explain court procedures and assist with filing documents without providing legal advice.
Financial Processing: Collect and process payments for fines, fees, and bails, ensuring accurate daily balancing and record-keeping.
Legal Documentation: Issue summonses, subpoenas, warrants, and certified copies of court orders.
Compliance: Ensure all records are handled in strict accordance with confidentiality laws and records retention schedules.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience: Prior experience in a legal, governmental, or high-volume administrative setting.
Bilingualism: Proficiency in Spanish is a significant plus.
Legal Knowledge: Basic understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
Notary Public: Current commission as a Notary Public is highly desirable.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or Legal Studies preferred).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on professional etiquette and de-escalation.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and the ability to spot errors in legal filings.
