The Crane Operator is responsible for operating hydraulic or lattice boom cranes to load and unload cargo on and off barges, vessels, and dock facilities. This role demands high attention to safety, coordination with dock crews, and adherence to maritime and OSHA regulations.

Operate mobile or fixed cranes to move bulk materials or equipment to and from barges.
Load/unload cargo such as containers, steel, aggregates, or other materials according to loading plans.
Perform pre-operation inspections and report maintenance needs.
Work closely with riggers, signalmen, and ground personnel to ensure safe lifting operations.
Monitor weather and water conditions and adjust operations as needed.
Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, site procedures, and regulatory standards.
Document daily operations, inspections, and incidents as required.
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience operating hydraulic, lattice boom, or pedestal-mounted cranes.
OSHA Maritime Safety training or equivalent a plus.
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 4 years of crane operation experience (marine/industrial setting preferred).
Valid NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification.
TWIC card required or ability to obtain prior to hire.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions.
Must be physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs, and work extended shifts as needed.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
