What You'll Do: As a subject matter expert, your work will focus on three main pillars:
- Medical-Dental Integration (40%): You'll lead the charge in showing how dentists and doctors can work together. You'll educate providers on the link between diabetes and gum disease and help create systems where patients get holistic care.
- Infection Prevention & Control (20%): You'll be the "go-to" person for CDC dental guidelines, sharing resources and training materials with safety-net clinics to keep Wisconsin patients safe.
- Strategic Partnerships (30%): You'll represent the Oral Health Program in workgroups, build relationships with community partners, and collaborate with epidemiologists and communicators to spread the word.
- Grant & Program Support (10%): You'll help tell our story by writing success stories, assisting with grant applications, and tracking the impact of our programs.
What We're Looking For:
- We need someone who is organized, collaborative, and great at making complex info easy to understand Public Health
- Pro: You understand how to plan and run health programs for large groups of people.
- Subject Knowledge: You're familiar with (or ready to dive deep into) dental infection control and the link between oral health and diabetes.
- Relationship Builder: You enjoy working with diverse groups-from state agencies to local community leaders.
- Communicator: Whether it's a formal presentation, a technical report, or a casual meeting, you can get the message across clearly.
- Problem Solver: You're a "catalyst for change" who brings creative solutions to the table.
