Our new Director of Programs will be responsible for the delivery and overall success of each program. They will supervise managers and inform the Executive Director on progress, problems encountered, and overall performance. A successful Director of Programs candidate will have a strategic mindset as well as be able to lead and develop their program staff. The goal is to ensure every program will be delivered successfully and add the highest possible value to the organization. All applicants should have experience implementing and monitoring the success of new programs as well as organizing program activities using teamwork and goal setting.-Initiate and set goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization-Ensure that each program can meet the requirements, outcomes, and deliverables of the funders-Establish and supervise all procurement procedures and processes across the organization-Manage billing and reporting to federal contracts and grants-Plan and manage each program from where it stands to completion, including implementing and/or meeting deadlines and milestones and staying within the budget-Develop and/or approve budgets and operations and oversee fiscal attributes. Oversee and track all budgets and expenditures of each program-Work with the Development Director and the Executive Director to ensure there is adequate funding for each program-Anticipate upcoming needs to keep programs running smoothly-Assist with purchasing of major equipment and supplies needed for each program-Hire, train and be a motivating mentor to staff-Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the needs and ways for improvements-Supervise all Program and Project Managers involved to provide feedback and resolve complex problems-Hire contractors as needed through organization's process. Oversee and approve the invoices of contractors-Complete the annual budgets and calendar for each program by early December of each year with assistance from the Program Managers

-Bachelor's degree in a related area. A Master's degree is an advantage-Minimum 3 years of professional experience in administration-Proven experience as a Program Director (5 years) or other managerial position-Must have a thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods-Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics-Strong skills in data analysis, reporting and budgeting-Solid proficiency with MS office, especially Excel-Must have business acumen with a strategic ability-Excellent organizational and leadership skills-Must have an analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities-Excellent communication skills
