Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented, high-performance Extruder Machine Operator to join a dynamic manufacturing team. This role focuses on operating, setting up, and maintaining extrusion machinery to ensure continuous production of high-quality materials. Responsibilities:
Set up, adjust, and operate extrusion machines according to production specifications and blueprints.
Monitor machine parameters (temperature, speed, pressure) and make real-time adjustments to maintain product consistency.
Load raw materials into machinery and ensure proper blending or feeding.
Perform routine quality checks, measurements, and inspections on finished products to meet company and client standards.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform basic preventative maintenance, and report complex mechanical issues to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Accurately document production logs, material usage, and quality control data.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Prior experience with preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment.
Knowledge of continuous production processes and quality control standards.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and documentation procedures.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Experience as an Extruder Operator or similar machine operation role in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with heavy industrial machinery and hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules.
Basic math skills and precision measuring capabilities (using calipers, micrometers, or gauges).
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Effective troubleshooting skills and adherence to safety protocols.
