Responsibilities:
Operate a heavy-duty forklift to move, stack, and organize steel crates weighing up to 3,000 lbs
Pair full and empty crates to prepare them for outbound shipment
Assist with non-forklift duties, such as prepping empty crates (no heavy lifting required)
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Follow all safety protocols and assist other departments as needed
Working hours: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Experience operating forklifts in tight or high-traffic areas
Knowledge of inventory systems or barcode scanners
Familiarity with loading/unloading flatbeds or trailers
Previous work in a steel, metal, or heavy manufacturing environment
Comfortable working in hot or cold warehouse conditions
Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks
Communication skills for coordinating with team leads and drivers
Basic math skills for measuring, counting, or verifying load accuracy
OSHA forklift certification (preferred but not required)
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years verified forklift experience (heavy-duty forklifts preferred)
Ability to safely move and stack steel crates weighing up to 3,000 lbs
Strict attention to safety protocols and workplace rules
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Willingness to perform non-forklift duties when needed
Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as required
Must be punctual and reliable
Comfortable wearing required PPE: steel-toed shoes
Ability to maintain focus in a structured, fast-paced environment
