Job Description:
A forklift driver operates industrial trucks to move, load, and unload materials, ensuring they are safely transported and stored. Key duties include inspecting the forklift, performing daily checks, securing loads, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Forklift drivers must also follow strict safety protocols and perform basic maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move goods within a warehouse, construction site, or other industrial facility.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and cargo ships.
- Stack and unstack products, ensuring they are placed in the correct storage bays.
- Perform daily inspections of the forklift and report any defects for repairs.
- Conduct basic maintenance on machinery, such as checking fluid levels.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Track inventory by using RF scanning equipment and maintaining accurate records.
- Wrap, secure, and prepare goods for shipment.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or shortages.
