Work with Grind Specialist and Engineering Team to machine work-pieces to ensure compliance with specifications. Set up and operate various semi-complex too complex to grind parts according to blueprint specifications. Able to generate and or modify CNC programs a plus. Use inspection gages and indicators to hold tight tolerances (+/-.0001). Inspect work-pieces as they come out of the equipment and remove any defective pieces. Measure parts using various metrology equipment including micrometers and dial indicators etc. Dress grinding wheels according to specifications to ensure that the machines remain at peak working capability. Stop machines upon discovery of a problem and make the required adjustments as quickly as possible to minimize downtime. Keep all equipment running by maintaining coolant levels. Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, coolant, cleaning, and scheduling repairs when needed. Assist in performing repairs, including replacing parts when needed. Communicate effectively with the Grind Specialist and Engineering Team to identify areas for improvement and collaborate on solutions. The ability to work with new technologies such as collaborative robots, integration, auto-gauging, and automation. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness in the assigned area to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Work independently managing time to keep up with production demands. Strive for continuous improvement individually as well as Team effort. Must possess a positive attitude, including the ability to quickly adapt to changes in production requirements. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Basic machinist skills. Ability to read technical drawings. Knowledge of machinery and equipment maintenance including CNCExperience in running robotics.
High school diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of experience as a grinder or similar job Ability to stand all day and lift 50 pounds. Ability to work effectively with a team. Strong attention to detail Ability to learn and understand new processes, machines, and technology.
