We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Administrator to join our client's team in Broussard, LA. This is a key support role with a primary focus on payroll and a range of general HR responsibilities, including onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. Location: Broussard, LA
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 1-Hour Lunch
Pay Rate: $20/hr. DOE
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire or Direct Hire (for the right candidate)
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately using Sage 100, including employee data updates across the employee lifecycle.
Respond promptly and professionally to internal HR/payroll inquiries via phone and email.
Support compliance with FAA DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Programs (training provided).
Manage new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment verifications.
Administer unemployment claims and handle I-9 verifications.
Maintain and organize confidential employee records and personnel files.
Support HR process documentation, policy updates, and administrative improvements.
Collaborate with Payroll Manager and HR team on projects and problem-solving initiatives.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Qualifications:
One-year certificate from a college/technical school or equivalent experience

Excellent attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and organizational skills
Effective communicator with excellent time management
